The first objective for this whole house remodel was to open up the two most popular rooms in the house, the kitchen and family room. Interior updates were also needed in the kitchen, family room, master bedroom and bathroom. Finally, the back and front patios were transformed to enjoy outdoor living customized to the owners request.
Since the kitchen and family room were the most popular rooms in the house, walls were removed between the two areas to create a more open and spacious feel.
The ceilings were raised in the kitchen and foyer and the entry was extended.
A trapezoid window was installed above the kitchen cabinets to let in natural light and brighten the kitchen.
Further remodeling of the kitchen consisted of a new design layout, including new maple cabinets, granite countertops, appliances, and energy efficient windows and doors.
An entertainment center was designed and built in the family room to meet organization and storage needs, while allowing for display of books and other items.
New windows, trim, and fresh paint revived the master bedroom. In the master bathroom, the existing shower was removed and replaced by a luxurious custom tile walk-in shower.
To update the back patio, new energy efficient windows and doors were installed. The patio also received new travertine tile and a fresh coat of paint. The back patio is now the perfect place for entertainment.
