Case Study: Major Remodel VI

The Brief

For this specific whole house remodel the homeowners wanted to update and create a whole new look by remodeling the kitchen, family room and master bath into a southwestern style home. The designers final vision produced a unique but beautiful version of the southwest style.

Our Solution

Complete demolition was required to create a distinctive open-plan layout of the kitchen. The new layout was designed with functional aspects in mind with a combination of natural materials to create an intimate but functional living space. The new layout provides an ideal setting for the homeowners active entertaining schedule. In the kitchen, new windows were installed to bring in more natural light and to take advantage of the views to the golf course. Another custom touch is the vaulted ceilings that are now decorated by the beam trusses made out of rough sawn cedar. In the kitchen new Viking appliances, granite countertops, cabinetry, tile flooring and track lighting were installed.

In the family room, the popcorn ceiling was removed then taped and textured to create a smooth but updated look.

The master bathroom was completely gutted and reconfigured. Then, glass block was installed in a new tile shower. A new sink, vanity and tiled vanity top completed the master bathroom remodel.

All of the rooms received a fresh coat of paint to revive the walls and complete the remodel.

Don't Take it From Us
